Ok so I’ve been through the phone interview, and apparently passed the online assessments I was assigned since the employer has reached out to me and is paying to fly me out next week for a formal interview in Houston.
This is a first for me (being flown out for an interview) but anytime I’ve interviewed formally for a position I’ve gotten it.
I guess my question is given the fact that they’re flying me out I’d imagine this is “in the bag”. However I’m in my head a little bit about the specifics.
The biggest deal with this is the possible salary and relocation negotiating, something I’ve never had to do. I’m not really sure how to bring this up in confidence. Or do I even bring it up? I’d need about 5k to relocate, but I’d assume if they’re going to pay to fly me out to interview that they’d pay to relocate me as well since they want the right person for the job.
Do I try and negotiate the relo separately? Work it into my annual salary?
Any insight or opinions would be greatly appreciated
