Title says it. I have some mental health issues and it's likely to cost me my job of the last five years. I have burned through my PTO for 'mental health days' and had taken a LOA last year under FMLA to focus on treatment. I have STD and LTD but am not sure how they are effected if I leave my job for any reason. I have never quit anything so therein lies another issue--I don't even know how to....My state has a 'no fault of your own' law which as I understand it means that if you quit or are fired then you aren't eligible for any assistance like unemployment. It would seem to be that a mental health issue would be considered no fault but I don't know the details of how that works. To top it all off, I don't have anything lined up in the event that I do lose my job. My focus is all over the place and I am not sure how to move forward without causing more issues down the road. I am fearful for the future.
