Interview red flags

I had an interview for a staff accountant position at a Ford dealership that seemed weird. The owner, not versed in accounting, only asked me what my favorite class was and where I see myself headed. After, he spent about 10 minutes talking about the business, during which, he mentioned turnover and not much about the specific job responsibilities. I was immediately offered the job without any reference, drug, or background check necessary. I told him I need time to consider it but he was adamant about me starting Monday. This is sketchy, right?
