So last week I Interviewed for two different temp agencies. One just offered me a position starting tomorrow as a receptionist, it’s supposed to be about a month long or possibly longer. However, I was hoping to hear back from the other temp agency in regards to a legal position we discussed at my interview, this would help my resume a lot more as I am trying to go into the legal field and this is also a longer termed position. However I waited three days and they never got back to me so today I accepted the position as a receptionist through the other temp agency. Not even three hours later the other legal temp agency got back to me in regards to the position and the company wants to interview with me this week. What do I do? I already told the people I’m working for I have no upcoming obligations so I can’t say I have a doctors appointment. It’s so risky as I know it’s unprofessional to ask for time off the first week you’re working. I wouldn’t be able to get to the office until 12:30pm as the interview is at 11am. Though the interview is for an amazing opportunity so I really do not want to miss it. So what do I do? And what should my excuse be?
