Hey guys this is my first post here but have just been left feeling defeated today. About half an hour ago I had my minimal hours contract terminated by my employer for apparently not acting suitably at work. This comes from how when a very friendly member of senior staff asked how I was doing one day; I said I was tired (late night, back pain sorta thing) but feeling alright. This apparently was the last straw and has resulted in me being fired.
I had a similar event happen at my job before it where jokes I had made, often self deprecatory or sarcastic, had been interpreted as an unwillingness to work and again resulted in my contract being wavered and then ultimately terminated.
So what I'm asking is, how do I change my slip ups into things that don't cost me wages and work? How do I manage to hold down a job without accidentally sticking my neck out?
