How to go about being compensated after quitting first day?

Last week, I lasted all of 7 hours at a Subway. I got the job through a Facebook post and my only interaction with the manager has been through Facebook Messenger. I never filled out any tax forms or paperwork.

The entire shift was a shitshow. The first woman that was training me did at least assign me an employee number and signed me into the computer system, but I was never shown how to clock out.

Three different employees came and left throughout the day (all of which bombarded me with begging requests to cover their upcoming shifts) and then the guy I was closing with just shrugged when I informed him that no, I would not be coming in for him at 8 AM the next day, in fact I needed to let the manager know I would not be returning at all.

I still have the uniform and message history with the manager, but he blocked me entirely on Facebook after I sent a polite message explaining the job simply wasn't a good fit for me.

It might sound pathetic, but I could really use the money from that one shift, even if it is only a check for $50 or less. Is it worth it trying to get them to pay me for the few hours spent working there?
