How do I recover from a “bad” first job after graduating college?

I graduated last May with a bachelors of accountancy and have been working as an Accounting Clerk for a car dealership since. It only required a high school diploma or an associates degree..

I need a few more credit hours before I even qualify to take the CPA and grad school isn’t financially possible for me right now. They say your first job will define and set the tone for the rest of your career so did I royally screw up by taking this job?
