Getting updates on when the next interview is from HR. Good sign or just very professional best practices?
The place I’m interviewing has a 3-step interview process that they told me about in the first interview. First phone interview with HR, second phone interview with the department manager, and a third in person 3-hour interview meeting the team.
After the second phone interview, they said the HR manager would get back to me within 1-2 weeks with the next steps. Since I didn’t have her contact information, I again emailed the HR manager a thank you for the opportunity and spoke about how I enjoyed speaking with the department manager. She replied right away and said she’ll let me know any updates.
It’s been 6 days later and the HR manager sent me an e-mail saying: “I hope this finds you well. Just wanted to provide a quick update from our team. We're finalizing preliminary interviews and will be in touch as soon as we can with the best next steps. Please let me know if you have any questions.”
Anyone in HR know if they’re just really professional at updating and replying to interviewees or if this is a good sign? Thanks in advance!
