Have been sending resumes on Admin positions. 1 bite with a "montage video interview", rest are rejection emails/ghosting
I applied to a few staffing agencies but there are 2 that I have been in contact for a while.
I just got back from a discussion with the branch owner of the agency offering me a part time temporary position. Sure, I'll take it while looking for another job. I accepted his offer by email after getting home by sending this :
Hello recruiter blah,
I hope you had a wonderful day. Thanks for taking the time to discuss with me as I know your time is important and I would like to thank you for considering me for the opportunity with your client, blah blah. After careful consideration, I believe it is best of me and your client's interest on this temporary part-time contract role as a billing specialist while I am on the job market.
If needed, attached to this email is my recent resume. Please let me know if there are any additional information I need to provide.

25 Minutes later I got a reply:
Good Afternoon AspiringHercules,
The short term assignment at client blah blah has been placed on pause for the moment. The client will let us know if and when they are in need of the temporary assistance.
Unfortunately – we just received the call from the client.
Thank you so much for meeting with us today.
We will continue to look for opportunities that will fit your skills and experience.

I am fairly a patient person. But this owner of the branch has done this twice with me. With the same story where the client "placed it on pause". Is it because I told them I need to think about it? or they're just full of it?
The owner and the people seem fairly good and honest. But I'm starting to think of just filtering out all agencies because of this.
