I'm about to start my full time job after graduation in May and my employer has asked me to fill out a background check and my employment history. On my resume I wrote an unpaid internship from my family business which I did work consistently for a year and half. But since I never got paid, it won't show up when they do a background check on me. Should I just not put it on the 3rd party employment history? Or should I put it and explain my situation when they can't verify it?
