I started job hunting about three months ago due to financial issues and needing to bring in more money and further opportunities for growth. Last night I received a job offer from an amazing company that I have worked along side in the past, the starting wage at $10k more than I currently make annually.
The only kicker is that the start date is less than 2 weeks away, and there isn't any wiggle room on it as they are on-boarding several new hires that date. I can only give a week and a half notice rather than the traditional two weeks. I know that this will be an extremely unwelcome surprise for my small office, but while the pay hasn't been great, I really appreciate the people I work with and have valued what opportunities I've been afforded. Am I going to be burning a future reference?
Thanks in advance!
