My colleagues are putting me off staying in my this position. Advice needed.

I started an office job as a Training coordinator 8 months ago and fell in love with the business of the role. The only issue was, it was a temporary position so I had to start looking for another job a few months in. My boss is also in charge of the Trainers as well as the coordination team, and having heavily appreciated my value, she suggested I go for a Trainer position she was due to advertise. I graciously accepted and after landing an interview, I was employed on a permanent basis a few weeks ago.

My colleagues are lovely, very supportive and always happy to help. The only downside is the job I took, was in place of another member who to put it lightly, caused a LOT of issues within the team - including a case of bullying. Two of my colleagues are very close with this ex-colleague and I can very much tell they are not very supportive of me being in their friend’s role. One of them questions almost everything I do, and seems very dismissive to anything I say. There are a number of other small issues like this, and in all honesty, it’s hindering my progress because I almost feel as though I am not welcome in the office doing the job their friend once did.

Any advice on how I can push past this? I feel a lot of it is in my head, and I’m trying to very much focus on my progress, but I’m finding it so difficult right now.

Thank you.
