I interviewed for a barista position at a new cafe. It’s the first place I’ve actually taken an interest in for a variety of reasons: it’s close to my house, I like the products they serve, and I like the atmosphere.
The manager told me he’d call by Tuesday. He didn’t. I haven’t followed up because they said they needed a full house and if they haven’t called me by now (Thursday), I assume they didn’t want me. Plus the interview went badly.
This cafe a nice place to study in, so I was thinking to follow up in person. I would go and do homework, then ask about the manager about his decision. But a phone call might be easier/less awkward for the manager to let me down lol.
Would it be annoying to them if I were to continuously show my face at the cafe to study? If I give them business will they eventually reconsider? I feel like I’m in an awkward place and I’m not sure how to go about it; I would support their business regardless of whether I wanted a job or not, I just don’t know if showing my face every week will rub them the wrong way or if it would affect the chances of them reconsidering.
