I have been offered a job (Yay) the offer was for exactly what I am making now at my current company so this seemed like a good opportunity to get more. I countered with 15% more and a couple more days of vacation. The company recruiter said vacation is not really something they add (They do start at 3 weeks) no big deal let's ask anyway. They replied back with about a 5% increase from the original offer and no extra vacation.
My question is would it be ok to counter once more to try and maybe get it closer to 10% from the original offer or would that look bad? It would come to 3k more than the current offer, but I know entry is the time to ask for the money because you typically won't see fantastic raises during employment.
