So I've successfully reached the final stage of recruitment for a summer internship, and now all that's left is a background check.
I put all of my unpaid/volunteering and paid employment on my CV. The volunteering was all done with a major organisation and I had to undergo police checks for that as I was working with vulnerable people, but I'm just a bit concerned that when the background checking folks contact the organisation I volunteered for, they might not be able to "verify" that I volunteered there?
I'm just not sure how good their record keeping is, and I don't want the background check agency to tell my potential employer that I'm a liar.
Should the agency not be able to verify that I volunteered, would giving them the email of the manager that I worked with be sufficient proof?
I have zero criminal records or financial difficulty, but I'm just worried about the volunteering bit, that's all.
