Hi Guys, longtime lurker, first-time poster so bear with me! I am currently a sophomore at a mediocre state university. I am majoring in exercise science with a minor in biochemistry with a 4.0 GPA ( I am sure that I will not be able to maintain this as my classes get more difficult). Yet, the truth is, I am TERRIFIED of not being able to get a job after I graduate.
"the plan" right now is to go to med school after I graduate. The thing is, I am still on the fence if med school is right for me. So, if I decide to not go to med school, I will be left with a fairly "useless" (I know exercise science is not completely useless but job prospects are pretty slim) degree.
Another option would be to switch to something in business/accounting, yet this would mean giving up the med school dream. Also, with a business degree, I feel like no one would hire me. I pretty much have zero accomplishments/experiences apart from stereotypical sorority girl stuff and about 500 volunteer hours. Thus, I feel like I would be behind in business experience compared to my peers. Honestly, I would not even hire myself for an unpaid internship at this point, and feel as though I would fail terribly and have trouble getting a job anywhere.
So I guess I am just looking for some advice/reassurance. I am absolutely terrified of failure and am having extreme anxiety over this whole situation.
