Vacation pay - payout when quitting (BC Canada)

I work for a BC school board and have worked here for 5 years. In my contract I get 7 weeks paid vacation but am only allowed to take this in July and August. I have already given my notice and will be resigning at the end of March. My boss has said that I won't get ANY vacation pay since I'm quitting mid-year and vacation time can only be taken in the summer and I won't be with them then. This doesn't make any sense to me and I think it must be illegal. Since I will have worked approximately 70% of the school year, I should be entitled to 70% of this vacation time (sorry haven't figured out exact percentage).

A couple things: I don't belong to a union. My vacation pay doesn't gradually accumulate over the school year. It just shows up in a 'vacation bank' at the top of my paystub at the start of the school year. So beginning in September, it showed 35 days (i.e. 7 weeks).

I checked the employment standards branch website but it only seems to refer to situations where you gradually accumulate vacation days/pay as a percentage of your salary. Please help me!
