Got some good advice here last time so I figure I’ll ask for some more.
I recently started a new job (x) I’ve been at for about a month. The pay is good and the job is enjoyable. It is an easy job and the commute kinda sucks and it’s in a rough area. I also work with a partner, which has its ups and downs.
Today I received an email for a job (y) I applied for during my unemployment window. This job would likely be more challenging, but might also have a higher salary. I would probably be working alone (id prefer this), and it is in a better area and less of a hassle to commute to.
Job y offered me an interview on Monday at 10am. I work in the public sector so I wouldn’t need to take any time off from job x. Is it a faux pas to take an interview when you already have a good job? Is it insulting to job x to potentially leave after a month? Finally, do I take the interview? Thanks for your thoughts
