Professionalism? Interview Red Flag

I have an interview in less then 24 hrs. I just got notified that I need 2 writing samples and a cover letter for application and have them at my interview. The only REASON i was told about this was b/c i emailed to confirm the interview. Otherwise, they wouldn't not have bothered.

Should i be concerned that this is a red flag ie. why only give me about 23 hrs to get this together?
