Potential recruiter looked me up on Linkedin - should I contact them?

So in early December, I applied to a position at a company. A couple of days ago, I noticed that someone high up from the company visited my Linkedin profile - this is somebody who seemed like they would have a major say in the hiring decision. I don't have Linkedin Premium - so i can't contact them via the website, but I was able to find their email address online. Would it hurt to contact them? I figure I have nothing to lose.
