I get TONS of spam calls every day. I used to answer them all the time, and I started blocking the ones that would call repeatedly. This was all before I applied to any jobs. Now that I have applied to some, I keep thinking maybe it’s one of them calling me so I answer the phone and nope, it’s spam. Can I just ignore my unknown number calls, and assume that if it was a job calling they would leave a voicemail? In my experience, any professional will do so, and I’m getting sick of answering spam calls but I’m scared of missing a call from a potential employer.

Is it safe to assume that a potential employer calling will leave a voicemail?
