How to network and get a new job at the same place you work at?

i like the place i work at but my job is only part-time and i am desperate for full time work. i see some open positions on our job portal but they are for positions at other locations (i work on a college campus).

how do you navigate the process of getting a new job at your current org? i also need to keep it quiet because my job is part-time and i don't want my boss finding out that i'm trying to get something else.
