I'm 26 in CA with no college degree. When I was 22 I was working delivering pizza when I was robbed and raped at gunpoint. It was all over the news and pretty much just flipped my life upside down.
I haven't worked since then. I dealt with the court case (he got 38 years woohoo) and was in therapy for 3 years or so.
Now I'm at the point of trying to find a job and I'm not really sure where to start. I'm just a little overwhelmed. I know my resume is going to look awful with 1 job and a 4 year gap and an incredibly personal reason for why.
I know I can't be picky, due to my lack of college education and experience. The only jobs I'm not planning on applying to are alone one on one with customer types, for obvious reasons lol.
Does anyone have any advice on how I should do this? How do I field any questions regarding my last employer or why I haven't worked in 4 years?
