Do I send a Thank You card for interview? Is that an outdated tradition? This is my dream job and I'm so close.

I had an interview on Friday for an amazing job that I am so excited about. I think the interview went well and she said that they will get back to me this coming week with an answer. My question is...should I send a card thanking them for having me for the interview? If so, what do I say in the card? Thank you!
