Would it be a smart idea to get three trades?

Hey tradesmen and women, I was destined to be a white collar worker but I fell in love with carpentry through my father. Anyway I wanted to make the most I could out of the trade industry. I figure I could get a trade in carpentry, electricity, and plumbing and start my own business. I could build houses on my own and wire and plumb them, leaving the profit for myself. Do you think this is feasible?
