should i be a server?

I (f20) applied to be a server at a sports bar type of place. I’m currently working at a food place and getting paid $11 an hour. we get tips but the owner keeps all of them. my checks are kind of odd, I don’t feel like I’m getting paid what I was told. a lot of ppl say that servers depends on tips and it’s so stressful. should i switch out to be server and try it out?

I have a boyfriend and he insists that i shouldn’t because all i’ll have are going to be guys hitting on me and trying to get my number.

idk what to do. my current job sucks and i have an interview tomorrow at a restaurant idk if i should go and get that job or stay where i work currently.
