How common is this? Application killed after interviewer no show

I just had a baffling experience and wanted to see how common this kind of thing is.

I had a 30m phone screen this past Friday (1st touch point). The recruiter* just,,, never called. I emailed her 5 min after the interview start time to reconfirm, then later on in the day to check in and possibly reschedule. No response. This morning, I received an email from Greenhouse, not even the recruiter herself, that my "application has been pulled and we will not be continuing with your candidacy." (Feel free to apply to our other roles though!)

What. The. Heck? TBF this has only happened the once out of my 20 other interviews, but I want to check if it is actually a really common occurrence and I've just gotten lucky.

• Not an external headhunter. Looked at her LinkedIn and she is employed by the company.
