Would you choose a job you don't really have any desire to be in for security?

I'm a fresh college grad who majored in Accountancy but I decided that I wanted to switch career paths and go into Marketing. I recently got a job offer for a sales order admin position which is not even related to accounting or marketing. The thing is I honestly don't know much about the job, but they're willing to teach me which is nice. However, I've been told from people who've been there for over 10 years that the work culture isn't so pleasant and it could really give me a horrible first impression for a "real" world job. Pay is average along with some benefits.

I also have been applying to some internships for marketing and actually have gotten calls to interview but nothing is set in stone. I know that the pay will be low, but I know for a fact that it is something that I am willing to learn and also interested in. I'm quite confused and would like some insight. From personal experience, would you take the job that provides security? Or take your chances and keep pursuing your ideal career? I just want to be realistic but I'm not sure what to choose.

Thanks.
