I have been hating my job for a while and today was the tipping point.
I emailed my boss on 11/7 that I will be out of town on 12/26-12/28. He said “Got it, just make sure you’re hitting your item goal”. Aside from him saying this, there has been no mention of not being granted time-off or losing any benefits if we don’t hit our item goal.
Today he text me saying that because of how low my item count is, I will have to work next week. I have already paid for an out-of-town trip, paid for boarding for my dog, and have friends driving from 5 hours away to go with us.
I get that he doesn’t want me going because I’m not hitting my goal (not a single person in the office is btw) but I’m pissed that it wasn’t clearly communicated to me and now I’m being “reprimanded” for it.
All that to say, if I put my two-weeks in tomorrow, is it bad taste to still go on the trip? I’m assuming yes.
