Should I keep trying or just settle for less?

I'm a student studying social work, so I've been looking for jobs related to my major. I recently found a canvassing position on Indeed, the posting said to "call or leave a voicemail." I did, twice, since nobody answered the phone. I even emailed them my resume. I was excited about this because it sounded really cool and fulfilling. It's been about 5 days... Am I just not calling at the right hours or what?

There's another job, a teaching position, that I interviewed for and was offered the job a couple of months ago. I turned it down. The pay is good, they're flexible with scheduling, the employees seem nice but... I just feel like looking after little kids would drain me. It's not what I really want.

What should I do?
