Never found anything for me. If you could go back knowing what you know today and go into any field (I have some school tech degree) what would it be? Been searching years for a career I need help
I really need to find a job. I have been lost for years trying to find something I can stand. I live in rural Kentucky there is really nothing nearby. I have thought construction, electricity, maybe hvac. I have a degree in a technical field aviation maintenance that I dont want to work in but I did complete that school which was pretty intensive but the liability wasnt for me. I am still willing to go back to school but a 4 year degree seems really daunting at this point and also unsure about financial aid as I have done used a pell grant to get the degree I have I don't know if you can get help like that again or if I would have to get a loan but I am going to have to find something or I am never gonna have anything. I am decent with computers and wouldnt mind doing something on them. I dont know much about coding but I have been fiddling with getting things to work since the 90s. I thought maybe something like a lab tech but unsure about schooling. Unsure about what I want to do and choices are extremely limited in my area and I cant really move for family reasons having to take care of grandparents and wifes family. I could commute maybe an hour or so to lexington if I had to. I understand that is sometimes needed in a place like this. I don't really know any new fields that would be good to start in or really anything to go into. I am good at fixing things once I learn what I am doing I repaired 80 ton industrial gearboxes for a while but was undercut by a cheaper worker on that job although I miss it I just dont want to be in my 40s and still searching for a first real job i need help finding a career.
