Love working from home but feeling stuck in your career growth but would never go back to an office job?
I've been working from home for 4 years now near 100% and I love it, but I've hit a ceiling in my career growth. Everything else about my job is awesome - stability, variety, freedom to work on what I want, flexibility in schedule.
Although I'm not being challenged anymore at work and I know that is making me demotivated and bored. I'm also not being paid what I'm worth (senior being paid as a junior), and that is adding to being demotivated. I asked for a raise last year but was denied, even after I pulled out documented salary research proving I should be paid more.
I feel that I could easily get a new (office) job for a higher position and make what I want, but I value working from home WAY WAY too much to go that route.
I know how rare WFH jobs are, or at least that is what everyone says, which adds to the feelings of being stuck.
What I'm really curious about, and why I posted this, is because I want to know if there are others out there like me.
Do you work from home (near 100%), love it, would never go back to the office, but are struggling in some way with your career or happiness with your current job? What is the #1 thing you are struggling with?
