I have no idea how to sculpt my work experience to show my value.. what are best strategies for finding employment

I have a super non-traditional background and have always been able to network my way into positions with relative ease - however after some set backs and professional confidence drains I’m at a loss of how to sell myself.

I’m an art school drop out (industrial design). Dropped out and became a music festival stage producer for 2 years at burning man, symbiosis, LIB.. Got into teaching robotics and engineering in private schools, did so for 5 years. Leveraged that to get a gig at the zuckerberg funded AltSchool teaching mindfulness and building a maker program. then left to start a Med tech company focusing on molecular diagnostics of infectious diseases. Pretty much a mobile isothermal PCR machine with a electrochemical sensing paradigm.

Did all the prototyping, brand dev, biz dev, marketing and market testing. Was ceo, marketing director, and biz developer and strategist. Fundraised preseed at 1.2M, in 6 months raised to a 20M valuation - then had crazy personal things happen and had to step down and take care of family. Put all my shares back - company has since fizzled out.

It’s been a year since. I’ve consulted for some start ups free lance, but am looking to be in an org that is a bit more mature while still needing the interdisciplinary problem solver kinda people.

I now drive for lyft in SF, and am going mad trying to hit financial goals with the inconsistency in rider volume through out the day/TOD/TOW. Noticing a slight psychological effect as a net negative. Pretty much in a car 12h a day with a few hours of free time - which I’m wanting to use to shift gear.

I’ve got an awesome skill set and know how to make things happen, but no idea how to sell myself as I’m at that point of “dude just throw me at a problem you can’t solve and make me sweat.”

I’ve talked to a couple recruiter friends - and the bulk of the advice I’ve gotten is cut up work experience, fudge titles, and display skill sets with out the CEO title as that may imply just wanting to do my own thing and hard to work with others.

Looking to establish in marketing/communications. Either in tech or biotech.

How should I sculpt a resume and CV? What are best strategies for identifying/finding unique opportunities? Any suggested high throughput methods for finding engaging jobs such as niche posting sites?
