I will have about 1 month winter "break" from my first year of college but I have to find a job or two jobs if I'm not given 30+ hours per week. My parents will not let me sit at home or hang out with friends, I have to be working almost everyday 8+ hours. I have had difficulties getting job offers and even interviews over the years for retail jobs. Unfortunately, I don't have a car so I can't drive myself to work yet.
While being a full-time student, I have an on campus job during school year and also off-campus job I walk to & from to get there. I already asked 3 times to be transferred to a store closer to my town but my boss said no.
I wanted to relax on my first official break from college but I cannot since I will be working and also be taking an online course which I am paying myself (cost around $1,400).
I am looking into babysitting and pet sitting but they do not see those as real jobs at all, so they won't even drive me if I begged them. They said they will occasionally drive (not babysitting or pet sitting) me to work if there are weather issues.
