I am currently graduating in May with a bachelor's degree in biostatistics (at a top 25 college) and am terrified. I have one misdemeanor from my freshman year of college at a different school that resulted in a misdemeanor assault (kicked an officer while intoxicated and got felony dropped to a misdemeanor), underage possession of alcohol and drunk in public (dropped). Recently, in April of 2018 I was at a friend's school and going through the after effects of a trauma which resulted in poor choices and got arrested for drunk in public (will be dismissed in January of 2019).
I am trying to look for employment opportunities for the Summer of 2019 and have gotten far in several job opportunities as well as an offer letter but am unsure what to do with my background. Should I have disclosed it from the first interview/application? Am I supposed to disclose it when I am asked? I'm turning my life around after seeing a therapist since the summer and continuing throughout the school year as well as a psychiatrist who prescribed me meds for ADHD (hence the lack of impulse control in previous incidents) and anxiety. I feel like it's helping me cope with situations without turning to alcohol as a vice and I have given up several times on the job hunt but feel like I owe it to myself and parents to at least try. So I'm wondering what options I should be considering and if it looks bad to HR/recruiters if I don't talk about my history. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
