Yesterday I took some initiative and reached out to the head of HR as I've had direct correspondence with her in setting up both interviews. She responded to my email and said that both interviewers said I had a strong interview and she's going to reach out to them for further details. Is this normal? I haven't received an email that they're going with other candidates, but according to the interviewers I should have heard by now. On the flip-side, I do know the holidays are insanely busy.
So: a red flag that they are seemingly lacking organization, or just a normal part of the hiring process when it's scheduled around the holidays?
Also, what's an appropriate response to the head of HR? Would 'thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate your quick response and look forward to hearing from you soon" suffice?
