Hello everyone.
Have a quick question. I got a job offer with a large company for a Legal Assistant position - - contingent on passing a background check.
They had asked for extensive employment history (last 8 years). The third party company is confirming employment for a job I had out of high school.
I graduated high school in 2010 and thought I started working in a bakery chain with my cousin right before college. I had listed as working at this bakery since 2010 as I thought I had.
But upon checking due to their request for verification, I only have a copy of the W-2 for 2014 onward. I checked my emails and found that I had emailed the hiring manager to work and start in 2013. I would have been unemployed from 2010 to 2013 due to being in college (didn't work any other jobs). I have already contacted the bakery requesting for employment verification and a copy of the W-2's for the years of employment (it's a large corporate bakery chain that's huge in the US and Asia. Hoping they still have these records.)
Would I not pass this background check due to mistaking the start date for my bakery job? Do you think it will be the cause of denial of this new job? I'm so scared because I really want this job.
Any advice or help is welcome.
Thanks in advance!
