My field is pretty niche and there are about 10 large companies that control the market. Company A has multiple subsidiaries and several main locations (think like Google size, with 5+ locations) and I have applied to several positions on different teams, all essentially the same title/job and same experience/background required, because I assumed their HR department was likely segmented and that there wasn't a ton of back and forth communication.
Well a few weeks have past and I am in the final stage with one of Company A's subsidiaries. I can expect a lot of competition at this stage so I have been pursuing other avenues, including phone interviews with the larger parent company.
Is it helpful to mention these connections at any point or should I assume that there is very little communication happening between teams?
In addition, another position I would be interested in (totally separate location from where I am currently interviewing) just became available and I am considering applying. Thoughts?
TLDR: Interviewing with several teams within same company and subsidiaries owned by the company - should I mention this connection at all during my interviews?
