Upset a co-worker and I don't feel bad.

I'll try and keep this general just in case:

The other day 2 coworkers made mistakes on their projects. One tried to rope me into an email with the VP on what he thought was an error on my part, I quickly responded with a correction showing that he had just misunderstood it. He acknowledged he was in error and wished me a good weekend.

The other wanted me to create some documentation for a client to clarify an error she'd made. I created detailed documentation verified by multiple surveyors as correct. She continued to insist it was wrong and I in turn insisted what I had produced was accurate. It escalated to the point that she swore at me, ripped all her papers off my desk and stormed off in a huff.

I don't go to work to make friends, I'm there to work, however I try to be helpful and respond with a smile. I've rubbed shoulders with other people in the company and my coworker has come up in conversation and without fail the sentiment is "oh you work with her? I'm sorry" I don't particularly have a problem with conflict though like any reasonable person try to avoid it, but for some reason this most recent altercation left me feeling validated instead of upset, is that wrong?
