A little backstory: I'm 27 and I joined the Army (infantry) at 18. I ended up getting a general discharge under honorable conditions at 20. Since then I've been working in the restaurant industry, starting as a cook and now I've been front of house for the past 4 years. I'm at my wits end in this field. I'm looking to make a change, but when I look at my resume, and look at jobs available, I can't help but laugh at how bleak my hopes are for finding any sort of job I can get some fulfillment from. Trying to spice up my resume with fancy words to describe the mundane tasks I'm required to do can only do so much. I'd love to have a desk job, with the kind of set up that will allow me to grow in my career. I'm decent with computers, very disciplined and hard working, but I'm afraid my resume will just get lost in the pile and I'll never be given a chance. I don't know where to go from here.
