Hope this isn't too specific for this sub. I work at a nonprofit, and have done a few grants here and there. But my other duties prevent me from doing it more than a couple hours a week, even though I really want to make it my full time. So I'd like to strike out on my own and try to get a full-time grant writing job, Outside of what I've done here, no experience or training (just what I've picked up on the job). How could I proceed? Are there classes or certificates that are helpful? Is it rare/difficult to get this kind of job at an entry level without some formal background in it?
Also, I understand that they are different fields, but I've also been interested in technical writing, so if anyone has something to say on that topic, would be very open to hearing it as well. Thanks very much.
