So I really want to leave my job ASAP, but don't yet have anything lined up. Usually I quietly go on the job hunt and give my notice when I land one, but I think my situation may warrant something else.
My supervisor is trying to get me trained on another position along with the one I do now, and I don't care to waste time coming in to get trained on it when I'd rather spend that time interviewing for more jobs.
I've also run into some trouble with HR over how much I'm actually getting paid as opposed to what I was told I'd be paid when I got hired. I'm also very new and have had difficulty finishing my responsibilities on time so far. So I'm also afraid of just being let go.
Would it make any sense to let HR and supervisors know that I'll be searching for other work that will pay more, without having an actual end of employment date in mind? Do employers typically just end the employment at the next possible chance, or do they wait it out until we can put an actual notice in?
