Recruiter called but voicemail was full

I applied for a job I’m incredibly interested in two weeks ago and got a call from the company on Tuesday. Unfortunately I was on a work call and couldn’t answer, so I missed the call. They didn’t leave a voicemail or send an email, which I thought was odd.

I just recently got a new phone and realized I forgot to set up my voicemail. I didn’t realize I even had to. I feel awful, I know it’s not a good first impression. They haven’t bothered to reach out again, despite me calling back and leaving a voicemail.

Is it really possible that not having my voicemail set up was a big enough error that I’ve been axed from consideration? I’m very well qualified for the position. I’m just shocked that I haven’t heard back again since the missed call.
