So I'm applying for new jobs, and applied at a place that seems awesome to work for, but is notorious for only communicating with applicants via automated emails.
So, I was very surprised when I got a personal email from the hiring manager saying that the job was going to be reposted under a different job title, but he would let me know when it was relisted.
This job is slightly out of my area of expertise, but is almost a 'dream job' for me, so I don't want to screw this up. I am terrible at following up on things like this via email.
I was thinking about a basic 'thank you for letting me know, i'm eager to hear more from you...' response, but wasn't sure if that would be the thing to do? I'm keen to seal the deal as I will be out of a job after Christmas.
The last time I looked for a job was the height of the recession, and I'm still shocked I'm getting called back and interviewed as often as I am LOL
