I am applying for a position of junior research/data analyst and the instructions said that I need to include a salary requirement. I'm about to graduate with an MA in political science soon, so I'm looking for my first full-time job. Looking online (and I live in canada), the salary for entry level junior analyst varies from 25k to 50k.
Do you think asking for 35k-40k is reasonable? Would 30k-40k be too wide of a range? I know this is a broad question whose answer would depend on the situation, but I'm quite lost and worried that I will answer the question wrong.
Other info: I couldn't find the salary information in the company's glassdoor site. The job requires technical skills such as R and GIS.
