Is it actually okay to inflate your resume?

I was reading some reddit comments and some people were talking about how recruiters automatically read a resume and dock you by some arbitrary percentage. Is this true? Should I be exaggerating my accomplishments and work to compensate for the recruiter’s inevitable markdown?
