Im not sure if this is the correct sub to post this but I’m a student web developer at my school and this year I got a new supervisor who isn’t used to my work style (doing remote work from class, library, etc) and instead likes to micromanage A LOT compared to my previous supervisor who was very relaxed. I stopped working remotely and now sit in the office at all times I’m doing work because I noticed she’s uncomfortable when I’m not working from the office desk. (I used to work remotely to get to requests quicker since I’m only in the office limited days of the week)
Ever since my previous supervisor left and I got this one, I feel like the entire department doesn’t want me anymore. At this point I’ve been working here for 1 year and 5 months and haven’t gotten a raise (I get paid minimum wage), and it seems like there’s no point in me working here anymore from my perspective.
I always get the feeling that my new supervisor is waiting for me to leave and that I’m a burden to her.
Anyways, I clock in and out at the end of my shift which I’m supposed to and since October 19th (this running paycheck) until this past Friday Nov 2nd, my new supervisor didn’t approve any of my hours for the past 2 weeks, so I won’t be getting paid this upcoming Friday and won’t get any money until the next paycheck which is Nov 23rd.
I’ve already decided I’m leaving the job the end of the month since it’s not worth staying here, but does anyone know how I can bring it up to her for not approving my hours? I feel like it should be against some sort of policy to not approve my hours on time. If I put in my effort to work they should submit my hours to work on time, how does she know I don’t have bills/rent/groceries to pay? This is the first time this has happened but it’s so frustrating to know I don’t have a consistent pay for the entire month. Should I let this slide as a mistake or bring it up to her?
