So today was my day off and I got an email saying I was no longer an Admin for my company’s Facebook page and I also was logged out of our Instagram page. Which is strange because I do the social media for the company so this is my job. I texted my boss and asked her why I was removed as admin and she told me she had to change it and will explain on Monday. I asked her if everything was ok and explained to her I wouldn’t be able to post anything over the weekend and she never responded.
This was very sketchy to me as my boss always texts me 24/7 so for her not to respond was strange. I texted her again around 6:30pm and told her that I was concerned and asked if I still have my job and I would like to know before Monday, again no response.
My co-workers told me they had a meeting today about how my boss was hearing that people have been talking bad about her and that she will find out and it will lead to termination. When in reality my boss is the one who constantly is talking bad about the business and telling us how she’s in so much debt and can’t afford her bills and leaves us her employees concerned. So it definitely leads to us talking about her unfortunately.
Our newest employee has worked their a month and recently just put in her notice because of her concerns with the company and she isn’t making enough money. So me and that employee have talked about it at work. It makes me think my boss is listening to our conversations via audio recording on the security cameras? But isn’t that illegal.
I’m assuming I’m fired since she won’t respond to me and deleted me as admin but I really don’t want to show up on Monday just to be fired but I also don’t want to make it seem like I’m quitting as I will file for unemployment. What should I do?
