I don't want to jump the gun, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to receive a job offer. I've had two interviews and both have gone really well, and they seem interested in me.
However, I'm having surgery this week and won't be able to work for about two months afterward. I feel like this job may be flexible, but still, I'm worried about having to break the news to them. I'm planning on telling them I'm willing to work from home while I'm unable to get to work. But I have to wait until my leave is over to give my current job notice, since I have my health insurance and disability pay through them.
Any advice? I don't want to get into specifics, but the nature of my surgery is actually tangentially related to the place I'll be working, so I'm hoping my potential employer will be understanding. This is a job I really, really want and I'm pretty bummed the interview came at an inconvenient time, because I had applied nearly two months before I got a call about the interview.
