I dont know if I should really even be asking this but I need to ask if it would be a good idea to quit my job? Im 19 years old I live with my parents and I plan on going into phlebotomy and my parents said they would pay for my training for the degree which is actually pretty easy. But I just got a job as a dishwasher about a month at the cheesecake factory. The people are REALLY nice and helpful but the amount of shit dishwashers have to do imo here is kind of ridiculous.. Also some of the other dishwashers bitch at each other almost felt like I was back in middle school it was pretty stupid lol. Plus im pretty sure they don't do back round checks at the cheesecake factory I work at the only thing they really need was a drivers license and social security number and some of the other dishwashers I talked to said they have parole officers and have these fines they have to pay every month for offenses?? Most of them they have been REALLY nice to me but like still a few of them are pretty crazy and they almost fought eachother lmao.. I have closed every night for the past 5 days and we were 2 hours late on closing almost every night because most of us are new and everyone is just tired af at the end of the night.. idk if I should wait and see if I get promoted to one of the other positions or just straight up quit later on.. I get paid 11.50 an hour which is good... but where I live minimum wage is 10.50 and idk if working a pain in the ass job for just an extra dollar an hour is worth it compared to like mcdonalds or panera which I kow are a LOT easier than what im doing.
